We know the Siliconera crowd has thoughts on games like The Last Story, Marvel vs. Capcom 3, Dragon Quest VI: Realms of Revelation, and Catherine. We've seen awesome impressions pop up in the comments, but there wasn't an area on the site for sharing those.
Enter Bounce, the community driven area of Siliconera where readers can post impressions and gameplay tips. In other words, think of Bounce as an extension of the "Let's Playing" posts that appeared on the site every now and then.
Bounce is still a work in progress, but after reading all of the heartwarming comments in the Valentine's day post we thought we would open Bounce now and upgrade it as the community drives its direction.
Everyone that I have shown this to have loved the flick. In fact people that I convinced to watch this on Netflix ending up liking it so much they went out to buy it. The DVD/Blu-Ray comes with all kinds of great special features so I really do recommend buying this. So with all that said I say check this flick out right now, you may not love it like I do but I am sure you will like it.
TRAILER THE GOOD THE BAD THE WEIRD I have to say that this may be one of my favorite movies in recent memory. I have had this film since its release and first heard about it from Young William of Woopak the Great. I have been meaning to write this review since the film's release but I could … more
While on a news story, reporter April O'Neil witnesses the Statue of Liberty being stolen by Dimension-X ruler Krang. The Shredder wastes no time claiming the theft on TV. The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles also witness the event and immediately spring to action with intentions on breaking into the Technodrome. The Shredder is obviously ready; but what exactly is his plan? -summary … more
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles IV: Turtles in Time is not only the best TMNT game out there, it is SO much more! The 90's through the very early 2000's were the best years in gaming, and It definitely goes to show. The turtles were "da' bomb" back then and playing this as a kid blew my freaking socks off. I remember playing the original TMNT on the NES. Oh, … more
Ugh, as much as I love the classic Mario games (especially SMB3), the cartoons based off of the games were TERRIBLE. I admittedly liked this show and the Super Mario Bros. Super Show when I was a very little kid, but this is a show that hasn't aged well AT ALL. While this cartoon was worlds better than the 1993 Super Mario Bros. live-action movie, it's still a wretched pile of puke. … more

RabidChihuahua posted a Quick Tip about Sonic SatAM.

When this show debuted back in 1993, I thought it was the greatest thing ever made (again, was a huge fan of Sonic back then). Looking back on it now, it hasn't aged as well as I had hoped, but I still see it as prime example of how a TV show or movie based off of a videogame should be done. SatAM makes liberal changes to the source material for the better, as there's well-developed characters, … more
Sands of Destruction is not a remarkable anime. The character designs are rather basic, you could even say the animators were pretty lazy in that respect; and the story is really simple, with the first two or three episodes being on the boring side. However, if you can get past these things, the series actually gets better as it progresses. I personally enjoyed the (sometimes risque) humor, and the … more

Madpenguin posted a Quick Tip about CAPCOM.

Capcom has been around for years and at one point they were my favorite video game company. Over time, I developed this love hate relationship with them because of how they like to jerk the fans around. I mean, hell, they repackaged Street Fighter II like 6 times or something before they kicked out a sequel, and then they milked the hell out of each of them. Not too long ago they repackaged … more
This is one anime I remember not liking at all. I remember the action being very poor and the animation was pretty bad too. The character designs for the monsters was probably worst than what I saw in the original Guyver. Nothing really here to see, just a few wasted hours of your life.
Although not to the extent of Super Sentai Series, its American offspring Power Rangers has been out of touch with gaming for almost four years now. Part of it has to do with the fact that the series itself went on a hiatus of sorts in 2010, only airing a "re-version" of the earliest season instead of adapting a new series. But after the license was re-acquired by Saban, the original adapters … more
Metal Gear Solid was one of those rare games to completely blow my mind. The opening act unfolds just like a movie and I remember how awesome I thought that was. The story is very good and the game features some of the coolest boss battles in gaming, such as the sniper battle with Sniper Wolf. This is another game I wish I could play again for the first time.
What happened in the three hours of the game? After awaking from a sleep, you realize you remember nothing of your past or of who you are. A old man kindly helps … more
